Banff Centre's Art of Piano 2025
My return to the Banff Centre after a decade away, how has it changed? Or perhaps, how have I changed?
The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity holds a very special place in the hearts of many Canadian artists. Many of my teachers attended classes and programs at the Banff Centre, and some taught there for many years. The programs developed, changed, and evolved over decades, but the magic of the mountains and the magic of Banff stayed the same. If you’re interested in a more detailed history of the Banff Centre, check it out on their website - it’s pretty cool! They have many programs for all sorts of artists, as well as management and leadership programs. While I was there, I also saw that they host many conferences, too!
I adored Banff from my very first moment there. And this particular time, it was a much-needed reset after the slew of competitions I did. It was a valuable time for me to reassess my goals, recuperate, and be inspired again.
I thought with this little blog, I would reflect a little on my history with the Banff Centre, review different aspects of the program, such as schedule, faculty and staff, accommodation and facilities, and the location! So follow along for everything there is to know about the Banff Centre Art of Piano Program.
